Did ALL of your club's officers get trained? If so, your club qualifies for the first round in the "277" Award. Each year, District 57 recognizes those clubs that send seven officers to both the Fall and Spring officer training. To qualify, all seven club officers must be trained in both sessions. Check with your club officers. Remind them that there is still time to get all seven officers trained and qualify as a "277" Winner. |

The Smedley Award, August 1 - September 30 Ralph Smedley and a few men in the Santa Ana California YMCA and conducted the first meeting of what would eventually evolve into what we now know today as Toastmasters. One person initiated a program that would go on to affect millions of people. In his honor, can you add five new, dual, or reinstated members between August 1 and September 30? By doing so you'll qualify to receive a Smedley Award ribbon to display on your clubs banner. The club will also earn a choice of one module from The Better Speaker Series, The Successful Club Series, or the Leadership Excellence Series. |
