How do I get a picture posted on the site? PDF Print E-mail

How Do I Submit Pictures to the Website or eZine?

We welcome submissions from all district members and clubs, however there are a few guidlines we encourage you to follow when submitting images to us.

Image Size: 640 x 480 pixels or smaller

Images larger than this will be too large for most of our members to view comfortably on many screens and are also troublesome for modem users to download.

Image format:  Jpeg, BMP or PNG at best quality

Images in other formats  will be accepted, however there may be a delay in posting them until we can convert them into one of the preffered formats.

Captions and Descriptions:  Please include a text document explaining the content

Please include a text document that lists the following information:

Image filename, Where the photo was taken, Date image was taken, Descriptive caption for the photo,  and a list of people in the photo from left to right front to back. 

Packaging: Email in Zip format, CD as Iso 9660 with a folder per event.

For a collection of images who's compressed size is under 3mb you may email the images to us.  For collections greater than this you will need to send the images on a CD burned as ISO9660 with a Joliet or Rockridge filesystem. Typically most PC's and Macs use this as the default for burning CD's.  Please check your CD on another computer before sending us the images. 

If you are including more than one event on the CD please put the images in a seperate folder with a sperate text document describing the images (See above).

Please do NOT use spaces in your file or folder names.

Legal Notices:  We do not accept copyrighted images and we require release forms for all images.

By submitting photographs, video, or images, you are giving us, the Toastmasters International District 57 website and the Toastmasters International District 57 eZine permission to use the image as it sees fit.    

For legal reasons we do not accept photos that include copyrighted material or endorsements for other organizations.  If you wish to submit a photograph or image that is copyrighted you may do so with the express permission of the copyright holder(s). 

We also require that all photographs of Toastmasters International members have at the very least a verbal consent that we may use their image on the district website and the district eZine.  The person submitting the photographs shall be considered responsible for all content submitted.  Please review photo's and images with those members depicted and wherever possible get written consent for use of their image in the photo.

Images that include individuals who are not members of Toastmasters International  require  a release form to be signed allowing us to use their image on the website and  the district eZine.

Sending photos to us: Under 3mb send as an archived Zip file, over 3mb send as CD.
