Awards How Many Awards Can a Toastmaster Earn in a Year?
If you are trying to get the very most out of Toastmasters, you may be
giving lots of speeches, and of course they should all be manual speeches!
So you may be asking, "how many can I get credit for"? Or, if you are a
member of more than one club, you may be wondering if that Competent
Communicator manual you just completed can count towards both clubs'
Distinguished Club programs. Here are all the answers!
It turns out that while a member will receive personal credit from TI for
all educational and leadership awards earned, there is a limit on the number
of awards that can apply to a club's DCP program (and district performance
awards). The limit for each member is one award of each type per club per
year. So, if you earn two CC's in a year, and you are a member of two
clubs, then you can have one CC credited to each club! Sorry, you can't
credit both CC's to the same club in the same TM year (July 1 - June 30).
The other way around doesn't work: you can't assign the credit for one CC
award to more than one club. You need to choose which club will receive the
credit. So, the solution is, earn a second CC for the other club!
